Tammy has always had a passion for music from a very young age. Her grandad influenced her so early on by playing harmonica around the house, aswell as watching singer/songwriters on the television. She began songwriting at the age of 14, along with tuition for vocals as her main instrument and learning how to play the acoustic guitar for accompaniment.
She studied at North Warwickshire and Hinckley college for 2 years and gained a BTEC in Music Practice. Whilst at college, she entered the Worldskills Popular Music competition and gained the silver award in 2008 and the bronze award in 2009.
In early 2009, she became the lead vocalist for pop-rock band, 'Everybody Looks Famous.' The band were under Go Faster Music Management and were jetted off to Sweden, to record with well-known producer Mathias Wollo. Tammy performed at The Midlands Music Festival twice, sharing the same stage as Scouting for Girls, The Saturdays and many more. Tammy left the band in October 2010, due to musical differences.
Tammy attended the University of Wolverhampton and studied a 3 year course. She graduated in September 2012 with a 2.1 BMUS (BA Honours) in Popular Music.
Tammy has been gigging acoustically, sessioning on tracks for musicians from different genres, writing her own music and recording her EP. In 2013, she has started performing with her electric outfit, 'The Tammy King Band,' which includes the following members:
Daniel Senter: Electric and acoustic guitar
Stuart Madden: Bass guitar
